The Kasten-Mann family has been active in the Berlin real estate market since 1954. Kasten-Mann Real Estate Advisors GmbH & Co. KG has its roots in project development and property management founded in 2002.

The business segment will be expanded by an investment department with a special focus on buying and selling prime Berlin commercial real estate.

Berlin: from tenant
to ownership real estate
The shortage of modern office spaces is on the rise.
In 2010 companies in Berlin were still spoilt for choice with a huge number of high quality office spaces in central locations but the tide has turned. The reason for this shortage is the vast number of rentals by NGOs and associations in the federal capital. Furthermore, a great number of new representative offices and start-ups have stimulated the market.
The fact that many companies have chosen to move from the city’s peripheral areas to locations within the inner city railway ring have also had adverse effects on the availability of properties in the city centre. Vacancy was at a record low of 1.0% in July 2018 and there are hardly any speculative office space building projects on the market.
The shortage in available spaces is especially significant when it comes to modern spaces in central locations in Berlin, especially office lofts but even medium and small sized spaces between 500 and 2,000 Sq M are increasingly rare.
